Corpus Callosum

Instructional tool for comparing two competing schemes of the anatomical subregions of the corpus callosum.  This module requires only a computer.  It is available for free and includes a student tutorial.

The sagittal brain sections used in this module came were found using the MetaSearch feature of Open Neuroimaging Laboratory, an online open-source collection of brain imaging data.

The pedagogical aspects of this module were created by Dr. William Grisham at UCLA and Cary H. Leung at Widener University.

The tutorial was created by Natalie Schottler.

Download Files

Students and Faculty can download the Corpus Callosum image database and tutorial for free.

(01)  Download Corpus Callosum Image Database

In order to access the image database, you must first fill out the User Consent/Download Questionnaire (after which you will be directed to the download button).  Note that you will still be allowed to download the image database even if you choose NOT to consent to anything.

The images in this module were derived from the Open Neuroimaging Laboratory, an online open-source collection of brain imaging data.  The image database is zipped (compressed) here, so be sure to extract the file to access the actual folder.

(02)  Download Corpus Callosum Tutorials

The tutorials can be taught in three parts, one part per week.

(03)  Download Corpus Callosum Data Template

This is a data spreadsheet that includes demographic information for the Corpus Callosum module’s subjects.

(04)  Download the Statistical Analysis Software, JASP

JASP is a simpler and free alternative to SPSS, and R. Bayesian statistics.
